Pinner Wargames Club is a well established, friendly and at the moment fairly small wargaming club in North-West London, roughly equidistant between Harrow, Uxbridge and Watford. We play a large variety of tabletop wargames - there is no one game that the club focuses on and if you have a new game that you want to play, someone is bound to be interested. We also have been known to play boardgames and even collectible card games on occasions. Contact Andy Barnett on 020 8868 0268 or use the 'contact us' form for more information.
On the left you can see Dave demonstrating the scots way to drink wine during our 2009 Christmas 'beer and pretzels' evening - in this case it was a 2006 Rioja and some indian snacks though. As you can see from that, anyone* is welcome to just turn up and join in - the normal fee for the evening is £5 if you play and only £1 if you are just heckling, to cover the cost of the hall and as much coffee or tea as you can drink, although your first evening is on the house, so there's no excuse no to come down and try it! *Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.
We are based in Pinner in North-west London - the exact location is in the Scout Hut behind the church of St Edmund the King, halfway between Pinner Green and Northwood Hills. It is easy to get there from Harrow, Uxbridge or Watford by public transport. The nearest underground station is Northwood Hills, which is on the Metropolitan Line. The H13 bus will take you from Northwood Hills station down the Pinner Road, while the H11 goes from Mount Vernon hospital past the church and on to Harrow. Here is a road map. The church has its own website as well. For those who are interested in such things, we are now back to only being a few yards outside Pinner - the closest we have been for a while. |
